Flag Flying Proudly, Sand Key Park, pastel,  18 x 24
This photograph doesn`t do the painting justice, it is one of my favourite paintings. When I stayed at my sister`s home in Florida  (Crescent Beach on Sand Key), I used to walk every morning through Sand Key park. The sketch for this painting was done from a mound. It was a glorious morning, the sky was clear and blue, and there was a stiff breeze lifting the flag.  It was November, and early in the morning it was like a cool spring day in England. The park was empty and peaceful.
I have also done an oil version of this view, which is available as an embellished giclee print on canvas. Offers invited (reserve)
